Bernstein, et al. v. Chase Bank USA, N.A.
Circuit Court for the 15th Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, Case No. 50 2009 CA 007086 XXXX MB

You may be entitled to a payment as part of a proposed class action settlement of a lawsuit alleging that Chase Bank USA, N.A. ("Chase") improperly applied the payments of Chase credit card holders in Florida to their promotional loan balances rather than their credit card purchase balances, resulting in more interest and/or penalties or fees being charged on those accounts. No court has decided which side was right and Chase denies that it did anything wrong. Both sides agreed to the settlement to resolve the case and provide relief to cardmembers.

You may be entitled to payment of up to $20 if (1) you were a Chase credit card account holder in Florida at some point between February 27, 2006 and February 21, 2010, (2) you accepted a promotional offer from Chase allowing money to be borrowed at an annual percentage rate of interest ("APR") for the promotional balance that was lower than the purchase APR, (3) your payments were allocated to the promotional balance at a time when there was a positive purchase balance, and (4) the written promotional offer material included the following or a substantially similar provision: "Payment Allocation: We may allocate payments to promotional and introductory balances with low APRs before applying payments to higher APR balances. This means the length of any promotional period stated in this offer may vary based on the amount of your monthly payments and the APRs on other balances on this account."
